60 to 70 Ferrari camps exist in Balochistan- IG FC


QUETTA: Sixty to seven Ferrari camps are present in different parts of Balochistan. They train people who attack law enforcement agencies personnel. This was revealed by Inspector General Frontier corps Balochistan major general Muhammad Ejaz Shahid during his talks with Newsmen while showing seized explosives and weapons here Friday.

He said in two actions FC seized huge explosives and weapons including 1.5 tonnes of explosives, anti personnel mines (1320), anti tank mines (500), IEDs (200).Two persons were also arrested. These explosives and weapons were brought from neighbouring country.

He said Ferraris continue to change their places. We are taking action against them. We would make Balochistan cradle of peace and no one would be allowed to deteriorate law and order. He said Baluchistan is much bigger than other provinces and strength of forces is very small. Yet we continue to take actions. He said we have achieved sufficient successes during the past six months. Four major operations have been carried out in past days in which several terrorists and abductors have also been caught. We would make it difficult for criminal elements and terrorists to carry out their evil activities.

Answering a question he said it is our strive to promote education so that awareness is created among common man. He said several schools and Colleges were working under FC. We are working in education sector in such areas where it is difficult for education department to work. He said he desires talented students pass out from schools and colleges run by FC to shoulder their responsibilities. FC was given scholarships to students at University levels in Quetta.

IG FC said that presently 6 per cent people form Baluchistan were working in FC. At recently held Commandants conference it was decided that this strength should be increased to 50 per cent during coming 15 years

Earlier Lt Colonel Zafar at a briefing told that in a successful raid in Toba Achakzai FC troops seized huge quantity of explosives and weapons. Seized weapons included explosives (1.5 tonnes), anti personnel mines (1320), anti tank mines (500), IEDs (200), prima cords (150), wire (17 bundles), remote controls (21) and time bombs (9).

Preliminary investigations revealed these arms and ammunition and explosives were brought from neighbouring country for terrorist activities in Balochistan border area particularly in Quetta city.

He aid in another action FC Balochistan while chasing secret information raided a house in Killi Jano of Gulistan. Two terrorists were arrested during the raid. Recovered from their possessions were LMGs (2), hand grenades (42), SMGs (21), rounds (40,000). 12 bore shot gun (1), rounds kalashinkov (2500) and motorcycles (2).
