QUETTA: Political leaders may make efforts to remove him but must not pray for dictatorship because present situation of the country is because of dictatorship. Enemies of peace and terrorists elements want to shatter peace of Balochistan. Politics of violence is no solution to problems. All political and democratic parties and civil society would be taken into confidence for peace and stability in the province.
These views were expressed by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while talking to media at the residence of Adviser on Zakat and Ushr Abdul Majid Abro after enquiring about his health here Sunday. Abro was injured in hand grenade attack here yesterday.
Chief Minister termed attack on vehicle of his Adviser as cowardly and said such acts are condemnable. He said situation in the province is better than past and it is our effort these should be much better. He said enemies of peace and terrorists have shattered peace of the province for their ulterior motives but National Party, PML-N and PMAP coalition government is committed to bring peace back.
“ We would not only bring peace but play our every possible role for security to life and property of people and sanctity of chadar and char deewari.”
He said terrorists in their cowardly act attacked Majid Abro but they met with a failure. He said report on him would be available by Monday. He said four guards and other security staff has been deployed for security of MPAs. Whatever lapse is there would be removed.
He said though appeals have been made with armed insurgents yet there was no behind the curtain talks underway. The way people have discarded political of violence perhaps they have understood violence is no solution to problems and maybe they have changed their strategy. We understand instead of violence through democratic struggle securing rights is possible. He said all political parties would be taken into confidence for peace and stability in Balochistan. He said there is constant contact with federal government and its complete cooperation is also enjoyed.
He said provincial cabinet would meet on January 9 in which planning would be made for talks with armed organizations and summoning APC about Balochistan.
Referring to a question he termed demand for dictatorship said it is non political and unwise and said undoubtedly political leaders may try to remove him but should not pray for dictatorship because it has pushed the country to present situation. ‘ I understand no political party would ever support dictatorship.
Answering a question about dharna in front of parliament on January 12 by political parties against non recovery of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi he said he would meet Balochistan Governor today in this regard and evolve future course of action.
