FC Commandants Conference


QUETTA: Inspector General Frontier corps Balochistan major General Muhammad Ejaz Shahid has called upon Commandants to remain vigilant along the borders and ensure effective monitoring all the time. He said all the Commandants should keep strict vigil on law and order situation in their areas in addition to their responsibility and keep in effective coordination with local administration, Police and Levies so that terrorists and criminal elements are dealt with effectively.

He expressed these views while chairing 2-day Commandants conference at FC Headquarters here Wednesday.

Commander Southern Command Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua also attended the conference.

Conference reviewed professional matters and standard of training of jawans besides security along the borders and law and order situation in the province and took important decisions.

IG FC said FC was striving and cooperating for restoration of peace in the province. We would continue to extend every cooperation and measure for progress of Balochistan and welfare of its people. He said FC increased representation of Balochistan in its recruitment policy in a bid to end unemployment and bringing Baloch youth into national mainstream.

IG FC issued strict orders for action against terrorists and criminals. He urged that law abiding citizens and people should be given respect to create sense of security.

He directed for improving standard of training for jawans and announced provision of necessary facilities in this regard. He also accorded approval for their welfare

IG appreciated FC personnel for timely assistance, their relief, rescue, providing food, ration and medical assistance to earthquake hit people in Awaran.

He reiterated pledge of Corps that no sacrifice would be spared for making Balochistan peaceful and exemplary province and effective coordination would be made in this regard with Administration and people. He expressed hope that people and other institutions would extend full cooperation for peace and welfare activities.
