QUETTA: Peace and unity is direly needed in Balochistan a nd all tribes can play important for this. This was stated by Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Major General Muhammad Ejaz Shahid while addressing tribal elders and notable from Zhob and Sherani districts at FC Headquarters’ here Wednesday.
He said jirga is aimed at exchanging mutual thoughts, strengthen relation of confidence and efforts for improving border security with their precious advises.
He said country particularly Balochistan was passing through a crucial stage and enemies of our country were trying not to establish peace. We have to foil this conspiracy through unity. He said tribes dwelling along the borders were patriotic and peace loving and they can play effective roil in gun running and smugglings of narcotics and enemies from across the border.
IG FC termed jirga as opening and announced such jirgas would be held in days to come.
Tribal elders in their speeches said that Zhob and Sherani are peaceful districts. They would extend full cooperation for the prosperity and peace in the province. They termed organizing jirga as very important and good move. They said all tribes in Balochistan are one and petty disputes should be resolved through talks. Terrorists are not from amongst us but it si common responsibility of us all to point out enemies and foil their designs. They announced to fully cooperate with government functionaries to eliminate such elements and cleanse soil of the province of terrorism.
