FC Spokesman said here Tuesday that on January 2 FC received secret information of presence of a terrorist involved in attacks on security forces was present in Chitkan Bazar. FC patrol party tried to arrest him in the bazaar. Terrorist on seeing FC party escaped in a nearby street. FC men chased him and were about to nab him when two persons riding a motorcycle tried to stop FC personnel and escape terrorist. FC personnel repeatedly stopped these motorcyclists to avoid interfering in official work who did not do it. FC tried to arrest them but they opened fire from 9 mm pistol on FC personnel. FC Naik Muhammad Akhtar was seriously wounded and later succumbed to his injuries at FC hospital Panjgur. Two persons trying to save terrorists were injured in retaliatory fire and one of them die don’t he spot. Terrorist however made his escape good.
Search of these two men revealed that one was Sub Inspector Hamal Khan and Baloch Khan who were close colleague of terrorist and lost their lives to save him. It was known that Hamal Khan was absent from duty for the last two years and wondered along with weapon.
FC Balochistan strongly denies news item carried by print media that Hamal Khan was stopped by FC personnel for search and despite showing police card he was tortured by firing bullet. In fact he tried to escape a terrorist from clutches of FC and opened fire on them. In firing one FC personnel was killed and Hamal Khan died in retaliatory fire. Had FC man opened fire first neither Hamal Khan had any chance to open neither fire nor FC man killed.
Moreover declaring Hamal Khan as shaheed and hero or Baloch liberation movement by banned organizations on social media strengthens his relation with anti state elements.
Spokesman added FC is proud of martyrdom of his jawan because they have always been rendering sacrifices for peace and order in Balochistan and security to life and property of people. FC also strongly condemns statements published in print media in which terrorists have been backed and national institution has been disgraced.
