Six soldiers injured in Quetta bomb blast

QUETTA: Six soldiers of security forces sustained injuries in a bomb blast on Airport road near entrance gate of Quetta Cantt on Thursday.

According to police, a truck of Pak Army parked near an under-construction Askari Mall inside Airport road near Quetta Cantonment was targeted with a bomb blast. As a resultant, six soldiers of Pak-Army sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to Combined Military Hospital Quetta Cantt where two injured were reported to be in a critical condition.

After the blast, truck caught fire while panes of under construction shopping mall were smashed. Personnel of Pak Army, Frontier Corps (FC) and police reached the site of the blast and cordoned off the area. Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Ziaullah Langove, said that truck of Pak-Army was targeted through remote control bomb planted in a motorcycle. He said six personnel of security forces sustained injuries in the blast.
