Peshawar: The Provincial Government has formed Re-review committee to examine the text books being published for various classes and point out mistakes for correction as books published in previous government are full of mistakes, provincial assembly was told on Tuesday.
Responding to call attention notice of Shah Hussain regarding mistakes in the text books which being taught to various classes in the province, minister for education Atif Khan said that it is true that these books are full of mistakes therefore government has formed a re-review committee to pen point the mistakes and make correction.
He said that these books have been published in millions so it will be not suitable to reject them all together rather we are making correction in these books to save the public money.
Shah Hussain through his call attention notice said that despite making drastic mistakes millions have been paid as royalty to the publishers.
The most astonish aspects of that these books are being taught in schools since last two years, he said adding that science book of class 7th is full of mistakes while table for two is totally wrong in the maths book published for class 2nd.
He said that subject specialists have been appointed to check these books before final print but still it is regrettable that the books are published with mistakes.
