SC seeks rangers’ comments in missing persons’ case


KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday directed federal law officer to submit comments of Pakistan Rangers Sindh on an application seeking whereabouts of two missing men, allegedly picked up paramilitary forces.

Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani heard an application filed a woman, Husna Gula, who pleaded the court to direct Rangers to produce the her missing son and a friend of his son before the court.

The applicant said that her son Umar Farooq and his friend Muhammad Iqbal were taken away from Toll Plaza, Superhighway when they were on way to Nassarpur to attend a marriage ceremony on 17th November 2013.
