Arab Parliament condemns EU resolutions on human rights conditions in Arab countries

The Arab Parliament condemned the European Union's resolutions on the human rights conditions in the Arab world.

The condemnation came at the Arab Parliament's second legislative chapter sessions held in Cairo.

The Arab Parliament said the resolutions, issued by the European Parliament, run counter to the principles of good neighborliness, state sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states.

Meanwhile, addressing the session, Secretary General Arab League Ahmed Aboul-Gheit said the Arab countries are working to ensure that the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel would not be followed by other countries.
