Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan has said improvement in the health sector cannot be made without strengthening the primary health care system.

He was speaking during his visit to a Basic Health Center for inspection at Bhara Kahu in Islamabad.

He said that strengthening of Primary Health care is critical to Improvement in the Health Sector. He said all Rural Health Centres and Basic Health Units are being fully operationalized.

The Minister said that to reduce the high burden of patients on federal hospitals, we have evolved an integrated strategy for providing the best medical facilities to the people of rural areas.

He emphasized that rural communities should have access to the same healthcare facilities as urban populations.
