Polio eradication remains Govt’s topmost health priority: Patel

Minister for National Health Services and Regulations Abdul Qadir Patel says eradication of polio from Pakistan is government’s priority and we are committed to facilitate polio-workers to achieve this goal.

Addressing a ceremony of Polio Workers in Islamabad on Monday, he said several targeted and general anti-polio campaigns were launched recently. He expressed the hope that the nation will see the positive impact of these polio eradication campaigns.

Commending sacrifices of polio workers, Abdul Qadir Patel said these people are our heroes, who laid down their lives in the line of duty to make Pakistan a polio free country. He said a memorial wall will be built at an appropriate place in Islamabad to pay homage to the martyred polio workers.
