Sexual harassment incidents: CPNE asks media not to highlight news humiliating family

KARACHI: Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has appealed to its member publications not to highlight news regarding sexual harassment in such manner which humiliates the respect and honour of the family concerned.

This was stated in a unanimous resolution adopted at the Standing Committee meeting of CPNE, held under the chairmanship of its President Jamil Athar Qazi. The meeting expressed its concern over the undue publicity given to the criminal molestation of a five-year-old minor girl by the electronic and print media which has affected the society negatively.
