Moin Khan Believes More Than Half of Pakistan Squad Can be Changed After World Cup

As Pakistan gears up for the next crucial World Cup game against South Africa, following a heartbreaking loss to Afghanistan, former wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan has shared his thoughts about the Pakistan team’s rebuilding process.

In a discussion on a local sports show, Moin Khan believes that if Pakistan cannot finish the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 on a high note, they will have to go through a rebuilding phase.

Moin Khan said, “You will have to go to the rebuilding phase after the tournament if Pakistan cannot finish this tournament on a high note.”

Moin Khan also highlighted eight players in the current Pakistan team who can be changed, but he didn’t mention their names.

He added, “Players should know they can get dropped from here. If we don’t win, eight players on the team could be changed.”

It should be noted that Pakistan has played five games in the 2023 World Cup so far, losing three and winning just two.

The Green Shirts are gearing up to face South Africa in their next game, which is a must-win situation. South Africa, a formidable team in this mega event, can pose a significant challenge for Pakistan in both batting and bowling. Particularly, Pakistan’s main strength, their bowling, has not been performing well so far.
