The 118th Canton Fair will be the smartest and most technologically sophisticated session ever. Organizers have introduced a smartphone-based service, enhancing the functionality of the event’s WeChat account and official website.
Data collection and analysis has also been strengthened, with a new online smart centre providing invaluable real-time information on purchasing trends. Facebook has been used to learn more about buyers and identify their needs, and to promote the Fair itself.
In line with China’s One Belt, One Road initiative (OBOR), promotional video link activities have been conducted in 8 OBOR countries, while similar events have been staged in 15 other countries.
