Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai while issuing directives to ensure the transparent use of funds and to make continued health projects fruitful has said that the best health services are the right of public, there should be left no stone unturned in this regard.
The clear strategy is the need of the hour to ensure the presence of doctors and staff in hospitals. The weaknesses of the past should not be repeated which were the Major hurdles in the progress of department.
He issued these directives while presiding over a high level meeting of Health Department at Peshawar. Secretary Health, Special Secretary Health, Director General Health, Deputy Director EPI and other concerned officials were also present on this occasion.
On the occasion, the Minister was briefed in details about the health services status and updates. While highlighting the initiatives taken in the health sector, he said the present government was fully committed to improve the health services, as the huge amount had already been allocated to ensure the provision of best health facilities to the poor masses.
He said the funds must be used transparently to achieve the goal. Moreover, he said the solid steps should be taken to redress the shortage of doctors in public hospitals. All those doctors, whose leaves had been expired and they did not report the department yet, should be warned to clear their position otherwise, strict action would be taken against them.
He also showed his aggression on the vacant posts of doctors in hospitals and directed to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Every possible struggle should be made to facilitate the masses as they had more expectations with present provincial government, he concluded.
