Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that economy will be strengthened with the promotion of agriculture in the province.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting in Lahore on Friday.
The meeting reviewed the measures for provision of facilities to the farmers and progress of agriculture sector.
The meeting also decided to start an internship program for agri-graduates and it was also decided that one hundred and thirty graduates will be trained with the cost of two hundred million rupees.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that government has given the farmers their due rights and will protect their rights in future as well.
He said that our government has given full remuneration to sugarcane and wheat farmers.
He directed the concerned officials to take comprehensive measures for the capacity building of Agriculture Institutes.
The meeting was briefed that sixteen surveillance teams are in field for elimination of locust.
