US acting solo on Taliban peace talks: Russian envoy

Russia says the United States prefers to act solely in the Taliban reconciliation process and does not take into account the interests of Afghanistan's regional partners and neighbors.

In an interview with Turkish official news agency Anadolu, Russian presidential envoy to Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov said Moscow has been more inclusive in the process by inviting Washington in collective efforts to resolve the Afghanistan issue.

He said from the events held under auspices of the United States, we do not see even such small steps that would contribute to launch of intra-Afghan peace process.

Kabulov said apparently, Americans participate only in such meetings, which are held under their leadership and meet interests of the United States.
