SIALKOT: Getting benefit of the prevailing severe load shedding of gas, the shopkeepers and dealers have created artificial shortage of LPG gas in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Chawinda, Badiana, Pasrur and surrounding areas.
This shortage was also adding miseries of the prolonged gas load shedding-hit people. While, the several shopkeepers in these areas were also selling the LPG on the exorbitant rates from Rs.200 to 250 per KG in black against the fixed official rate of Rs.125 per KG by taking full advantage of this critical situation.
This practice allegedly was still going unabated and unchecked by the concerned officials of Sialkot district administration. Meanwhile, the people have also protested against the shortage of the LPG gas in Sialkot district.
They have urged the Commissioner Gujranwala Division Khawaja Shamail Ahmed and Sialkot DCO Nadeem Sarwar to look into the matter in the larger public interest.
