District: (Security measures inspected at all govt, private colleges)


SIALKOT: The Sialkot district administration on Wednesday conducted inspection of the security measures made by all the government and private colleges in the district in the wake of prevailing wave of security concerns.

Director Colleges Gujranwala Division Ghulam Sarwar Sipra and Deputy Director Colleges Sialkot Malik Shamas jointly chaired an important meeting of the principals of all the 22 male and female government colleges. Meeting was held at Govt. Postgraduate College for Women Daska.

The meeting also reviewed in details the security measures. The meeting was told that extra ordinary foolproof security measures had been adopted by all the government and private colleges in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils, asking the managements of these colleges to adopt every security step to safeguard the students and their teachers, bedsides, averting any untoward incident.

On this occasion, Prof Javaid Akhtar Billah told the meeting that foolproof security measures had been made at Govt. Murray College Sialkot (the alma mater of Poet of The East Allama Iqbal) as well.

Later, Malik Shamas revealed that the special iron fencing was affixed on the boundary walls, the active security guards (armed with automatic weapons and metal detectors ) have been deputed, besides, establishing the walk through gates in all the government and private colleges in Sialkot district.

The meeting also asked the heads of the government and private colleges to sensitize the students, teachers and their parents about the present security concerns.
