JSM denounces Peshawar carnage, demands end to terror

KARACHI: The Peshawar incident has shocked whole world, including Sindh, as people are still deeply saddened despite lapse of one week. The horrific incident is strongly condemnable. It is also fact that people are being killed in Sindh province ruthlessly through a conspiracy and religious leader Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro is also victim of this conspiracy while infants are dying due to malnutrition in Thar due to lethargy of the provincial government.

This was stated by Chairman Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM) Riaz Ali Chandio while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC) here on Wednesday. He said that 111st birth anniversary of Sain GM Syed would be celebrated with simplicity due to death of Dr Khalid Soomro.

He said: “State has no any religion as it is made on the basis of complete democracy, justice and equality. If rulers and establishment had taken action against Kohati Gate Peshawar attack, Abbas town Karachi incident, Hindus forced conversion, murders of Shahbaz Bhatti & Salman Taseer and demolishing of the temples in Sindh, then incidents like Karachi airport and Peshawar attacks would not have happened.”

Chandio said the government was willing to make military courts and they were fully opposing such move and demanding that let the courts work independently. He said Supreme, High and Session Courts could work in better way for protection of human rights, eradicating of corruption and ending of religious terrorism.

He said JSM would stage a protest on 26 December 2014 for deporting of immigrants and delay in fixing reasonable prices of rice and sugarcane.

He demanded that all the immigrants settled in different parts of the country and colonies should be deported and it was the responsibility of federal government to let Sindh be free from religious fanaticism.
