ISLAMABAD: Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that the process of repatriation and rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) would begin from February 15 and completed within one year.
Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday, the minister said that Rs 100 billion were needed for the repatriation and rehabilitation of two million TDPS.
He said every possible step would be taken for their early rehabilitation. He said the government would compensate tribesmen for the losses they suffered.
He said one Zarb-e-Azb was going on in North Waziristan, while another would be started in the cities and streets of Pakistan to eliminate terrorists. He stressed the need of making joint efforts to win the war against terrorism. He urged the media to help police and civil administration in war against terrorism.
