One killed, three injured in Karachi

KARACHI: Former union council nazim was killed and three other persons were injured in separate incidents on Wednesday here.

A worker of political party Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and former UC Nazim, Arshad alias Irshi, 36, son of Abdul Khaliq, was gunned down by unknown armed men in North Karachi. The body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, two youth, Rizwan, 20, son of Noor, and Sajid, 19, son of Ameer Khan, were shot and injured by unknown armed men near Reham Hospital, Banaras, in Orangi Town. They were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a youth, Asif, 20, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near Pathan Colony in Banaras. He was shifted to ASH for medico treatment.
