Islamabad: Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed Ranjha, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) has said that current political situation demands to strengthen the democracy, which is in the best interest of Pakistan and his party will never become part of any attempt to derail the democratic system. He was talking to the media persons here at the PML House.
While mentioning regional developments, he said that in the presence of newly-elected government of Narendra Modi in India and upcoming government of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in Afghanistan, we must show seriousness to present Pakistani view point on national, regional and international level effectively.
“In case, if the democratic system will be overthrown, Pakistan will have bad consequences.” He warned.
Answering a question related to the Election Rigging, he said that “Clerical Mistake” in the election result is not understandable and the Election Commission must follow its Chief, Mr. Fakhar Uddin G. Ibrahim to tender the resignation due to failure in holding credible and acceptable for all Elections.
He suggested the government to make the people welfare its first priority, instead of opening many fronts with the institutions and fuelling ongoing internal conflicts.
“It is not duty of Government to run Metro Bus but to protect environment. ” Mr. Ranjha expressed.
