Sindh establishes PPvCs in govt hospitals


Larkana: The Sindh Government has notified the establishment of a Provincial Pharmaco-vigilance Centre (PPvC) in the province at Directorate of Pharmacy Sindh, I & I Depot, Rafeequi Shaheed Road, Karachi, which has directed all the Medical Superintendents and Civil Surgeons in Sindh to establish Provincial Pharmaco-vigilance Centre (PPvC) at their hospitals.

They were also asked t nominate a focal person (preferably a Pharmacist) to liaison with PPvC and report the Adverse Drugs Reaction fortnightly to PPvC for onward transmission to the Government.

These drugs include vaccines, medical devices, health & OTC products and medicated cosmetics.
