Three killed, one injured in Karachi violence


KARACHI: Three persons were killed and one other was injured in separate violence incidents here on Tuesday.

The Principal of Iqra Rozatul Atfal School, Fazl Urrhman, 45, son of Abdul Ghaffar, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Bhetak Hotel, Munawar Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Johar. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, a man, Israr, 30, was killed by unknown armed men in Defense Housing Authority – DHA. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

Yet in another incident, an unknown man, aged about 35, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Hawkesbay Scheme 42. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.

Separately, a man, Abdul Khair, 28, resident of Garden area, was shot and injured near Usmania Chowk in Garden. He was brought to CHK for treatment.
