Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 24% Pakistanis believe that Pakistani society still has strong cultural values.
A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “Some people are of the opinion that in our society, our cultural values are dying, while others are of the opinion that in our society the cultural values are still strong.
What is your opinion on this?” Responding to this, 69% said cultural values are dying compared to 24% who responded that cultural values are still strong. 7% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2577 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during October 28, 2013 – Nov 04, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
