Karachi: Sixty two more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Tuesday, increasing the patients’ toll to 1195 this year, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Mullick said that a total of 1318 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province Since January 2013, out of them 1195 were detected in Karachi and 123 in rest of the province. He said 11 dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
He said that 65 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while 21 patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment across the province. He said 62 new cases were reported in Karachi on 17th September, while 11 cases were detected in Hyderabad. He further said one case was reported in Sukkur. He said total 74 cases reported on Tuesday, out of which 31 were Inpatient and 43 were Out Patient Departments OPD cases.
He informed that 108 cases were detected in Hyderabad, three in Sukkur, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur, two in Thatta, one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushehro Feroz, and one in Kashmore since January 2013.
