KARACHI: Provincial Agriculture Minister Ali Nawaz Mahar and Provincial Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Jam Khan Shoro on Wednesday said that arrangements for Livestock, dairy fisheries and agriculture exhibition (LDFA-2014) have been finalized, which will be held at Karachi Expo Centre on 1st and 2nd March 2014.
They said that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah will inaugurate the exhibition, which is an annual feature of Sindh Board of Investment SBI and Government of Sindh. It is a platform to showcase noteworthy development and opportunities in the field of agriculture, livestock, dairy and fisheries. They said that exhibition will also facilitate trade, commerce and strengthen our economy.
They said that exhibition will open new markets for local and foreign companies and it is a part of government’s endeavours for the development of economy. They hoped that LDFA-2014 will be attended by overwhelming number of participants including diplomats, foreign and domestic businessmen and investors, banking and investment professionals, representatives of federal and provincial government ministers and departments.
They said that the first day of the LDFA-2014 planed to be featured by a comprehensive seminar on the theme “Sustaining Economic growth by value addition and value chain livestock, dairy, fisheries, poultry and agriculture products.”
They expect a good response for LDFA-2014 as last year around 500 delegates and visitors participated in the exhibition, and multinational and national companies set up their stalls. They said that more than 50 companies will be taking part this year in the show.
