BDU in-charge along with three men of his team died in blast

Peshawar: At least four people including bomb disposal squad officials and the in-charge in a blast and two injured when road side bomb target the vehicle of Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) at Sheikh Mohammadi in the outskirt on Monday. in-charge of Bomb disposal unit (BD) Abdul Haque along with other personnel of his team become target of road side bomb near Sheikh Mohammadi when they were on their way to investigate a bomb blast which took place in the Badaber area.

The blast resulted in the death of three personnel on board the vehicle including the BDU in-charge Abdul Huque and two injured. Their funeral prayers were offered at Police Lines. The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has expressed his heart-felt feelings of sorrow and grief over the death of Abdul Haq, Incharge Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) along with other police personnel while on duty in a tragic incident of remote control bomb blast that took place in sheikh Mohammadi Badhber.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned quarters for necessary measures to bring the miscreants involved to book. He also directed the hospital management to provide the best possible treatment facilities to the injured of the incident.

In his message of condolence the Chief Minister expressed deep sympathies with all members of the bereaved families and paid rich tributes to the personnel who lost their lives in the discharge of their duties to provide security to the citizens.

He lauded the efforts of BDS and police personnel for foiling score of attempts of terrorism and bomb blasts in various places of K-P; and expressed the hope that the police force would leave no stone unturned to ensure safety of the lives and properties of the civilians in the future as well.

He assured that the sacrifices rendered by the police for the protection of the public would never go in vain and peace would ultimately prevail in the province.
