Sialkot: The provincial government would give necessary training of advanced technical skills to as many as 14000 educated but unskilled youths in Sialkot district for six months under the Youth Internships Programme 2013-2014.
Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu disclosed this while talking to the newsmen. President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Dr. Sarfraz Bashir, SVP Mian Muhammad Anwar, Project Director Maqsud Ahmed Chaudhary and senior journalists were also present on this occasion.
DCO added that the Youth Internships Programme would also be helpful in capacity building of the unskilled educated youths, besides, giving them much encouragement, creating self confidence amongst them and enabling them to face the technology challenges in future. He said that the Punjab government would give a stipend of Rs. 12000 per month to each youth during the six-month long training under the Youth Internships Programme in Sialkot district here, in this regard.
