NAUNDERO: Sindh Education Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said on Thursday that 4.2 million children are enrolled in Sindh schools and same number is out of schools.
“Sindh government is striving very hard to bring them to schools,” he said after inaugurating Benazir Bhutto Girls Degree College in Naundero. Khuhro urged the civil society to bring the ghost teachers to schools so that their children get education and closed schools could be opened.
The senior education minister said that he was happy to inaugurate this college for girl students and added that on one side students were being killed and on the other colleges were being inaugurated.
He condemned the brutal attack in Peshawar on army school and expressed his sorrow and dismay over the incident. Nisar directed Director Colleges to depute teachers to this girls college from other colleges within a week so that academic session could start quickly.
One minute silence was observed and prayers were also held for the departed souls of Peshawar horrific incident. It may be mentioned here that Khuhro inaugurated this girls college which is still without furniture and proper posting of female professors & lecturers.
He promised to visit this college on December 25 again and fulfill all other requirements of the college. SNE of this college is yet to be approved & released.
PPP activists and other government officers were present on the occasion. The college has been built at the cost of Rs 60.283 million having 12 classrooms, 4 each laboratories and offices and one each library and computer room.
