District: (SCCI expresses grave concerns over poor security arrangements in educational institutions)

SIALKOT: Expressing grave concerns over the poor security arrangements in majority of the government and private educational institutions in Sialkot district, the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) demanded immediate closure of all the educational institutions having poor security arrangements.

Addressing a press conference here, the SCCI President Fazal Jillani said that the district administration should not allow opening of schools without adopting proper security arrangements in the district.

He said that most of the private educational institutions had improved the security standards, but the security of the most of the government schools was very poor and many of them even lacked boundary walls.

He feared that the long traffic jams on several roads around the educational institutions in Sialkot during the rush hours, particularly morning and afternoon hours could also cause security related problems any time.
