NBP, HBL and UBL Ratodero region’s three ATM machines go faulty

RATODERO: All three ATM machines installed at NBP, HBL and UBL branches here have gone out of order since last several weeks due to which salaried class and BISP beneficiaries are suffering very badly along with businessmen and small general traders. According to State Bank directive, ATM machines wherever they are installed, must work round the clock uninterruptedly for the benefit of the account holders, but the bank branches here are violating these orders openly.

BISP beneficiaries held a protest demonstration here on Tuesday, complaining against the local bank authorities for not making these machines functional due to which they are suffering and undergoing extra travelling costs for going to Larkana or else where to get the meager cash amount.

Nabi Bux, Atta Mohammad and others told nedia that they had reached here from their villages located far away to get cash but they found all three ATM machines faulty due to which they will have to come again or go to Larkana to get the little amount. They said that their relatives have told them that in Larkana too several ATM machines are out of order.

In Larkana, one bank officer when contacted said that BISP beneficiaries are unaware how to operate these modern machines hence they cannot draw cash otherwise most of the machines are in working condition and there is no complaint.

They have demanded that stern action may be taken against the violators of SBP directives.
