Matiari, Sindh:,,, Prices of daily-use commodities are on rise in Matriari and surrounding areas as the system of price control committees has totally collapsed.
Wheat flour, vegetables, meat, fresh milk and other commodities are being sold on sky-rocketing prices in Matiari, Halla, Saeedabad, Bhitshah and other towns, making it difficult for poor masses to feed their children.
The inefficient district administration is playing the role of silent spectator, while the price control committees on only on paper. The citizens have requested the government to take notice of the situation and launch a crackdown on profiteers and hoarders.
