Jhado, Sindh: Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sindh chapter Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui has said deaths of children due to drought and famine in the desert area of Tharparkar was sad and a challenge for the government. The government’s not recognizing the open reality of deaths due to food scarcity was an exhibition of traditional bigotry and senselessness.
“The government should immediately take practical steps to provide relief to the affectees of Thar,” he said this, after an oath taking ceremony of Ameers of three lower districts of interior Sindh, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, and Thar, during a press briefing.
Meraj further said the performance of the ruling parties of Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaomi Movement had been zero as both the parties badly failed to deliver to the people of Sindh and now they are busy in a non-issue of establishment of new provinces, which would further excavate the ethnic and racial differences among the residents of the province. “Getting support of people through divide and rule policy would remain only dream of these parties,” he said.
He said the provincial government in Sindh has failed to provide healthcare and education facilities in Sindh. In reality, the government was not interested in resolving the issues of people. Solution to every problem lied in the establishment of Islamic system. He said the big congregation to be held from Nov 21 in Lahore would be a milestone in this regard.
