Zardari arrives, offers Fateha at Bhutto’s Mazars


NAUNDERO: PPP Chairman Asif Zardari arrived here to participate in the death anniversary of PPP’s founder leader Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto being observed on April 4. Foolproof security arrangements have been made amid threats to PPPP leadership as more than 6500 police men, officers, rangers and other intelligence agencies have been deployed.

After arrival, he went to the graves of Bhutto leaders and offered Fateha, laid floral wreaths at the graves of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. He was accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and MNA Ayaz Soomro. At the time of his arrival, all people were asked to vacate the mausoleum.

An interesting situation will be witnessed by the people of Pakistan on Friday during the 35th death anniversary celebrations of PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bux.

The ground in front of the Bhutto mausoleum has been divided into two parts, one has been given to PPP-SB and the other reserved for PPPP activists.

The administration has erected tent and directed PPP-SB to wind up their gathering up to 2.00 pm on Friday. Later whole ground will be handed over to PPPP to hold function which will be addressed by PPP Chairman Asif Zardari and Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other top leadership. Police sources said that over 500 Karachi traffic policemen have arrived here along with lifters and other related equipment to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the event. Large parking places have been reserved for all types of vehicles.

All roads leading to Garhi Khuda Bux will be sealed on Friday morning from all four corners around the village. Gate No 2 has been allotted to PPP-SB workers and Gate No 12 to PPPP activists. PPP caravans have started to arrive at Garhi Khuda Bux from all four provinces of the country.
