10 injured in toy blast near Larkana

LARKANA: At least 10 people were injured in Tayab Mallah village within the limits of Veehar police station of Dokri Taluka in an alleged toy blast.

The injured were rushed to the Emergency Department of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) by the neighbours for medical treatment and further management.

They include Mahboob and Shahzado both sons of Tayab Malah, 18 and 16 respectively, Zuhaib Malah, Nisar Malah, Baby Khatoon Malah, Zarina Khatoon Malah, Piyaro son of Hassan Malah, 8, Nasiban wife of Shahzado Malah, 35, and 9-months minor boy Kamran Malah.

The villagers further alleged that a deaf herdsman Nisar Malah while grazing cattle spotted a knot which was drowning in the watercourse which he took out and brought it home. They said one toy-like thing was found which during opening exploded due to which the family members were injured.

They said: “We have no enmity with anyone adding it seemed that a bomb was kept in the flowing knot which exploded during opening.” After receipt of such information, relevant police officials reached the CMCH and gathered information from the injured persons about the incident.
