Minority observes Indian I-Day as Black Day

Umerkot: Umerkot’s minority community observed Indian Independence Day as Black Day in front of local press club on Sunday.

The participants torched Indian Prime Minister Modi’s effigy at the club and chanted slogans like Indian forces should stop atrocities on oppressed Kashmiris, UN should protect the people of Kashmir and Indian forces should be stopped from conducting state terrorism in Kashmir soil.

A large number of Hindus and Muslims participated in the demonstration. The leaders Beerchand Meghwar, Aslam Bhutto, Nazar Mohammad Samejo, Ali Nawaz and Asad Solangi expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris all over the world.

They said that occupied Kashmir belongs to Pakistan and soon the oppressed Kashmiris would get freedom. The sacrifices of mothers, sisters and people of Kashmir will not be in vain, they added.
