MACH: Eight persons were killed and more than 70 injured in two mishaps along Quetta-Sibi section of national highway Sunday. According to details a passenger coach going to Nawab Shah collided with a tractor coming from opposite direction at Kambri Pull and plunged into deep ravine. Immediately after the incident a wagon from Jacobabad to Quetta also collided with the tractor at the same site. As a result eight persons were killed and more than 70 sustained injuries.
On information Sangat and Edhi ambulances reached the scene and shifted injured to Sibi hospital. There were difficulties in rescue of injured persons due to dark at the site of mishap. Traffic along Quetta-Sibi section was suspended following tow mishaps.
DPO Ghulam Ali Lashari reached there and also sent injured people to Sibi and Dhadar hospitals in Police vehicles. Emergency was declared t civil hospital on information of accidents.
Deputy Commissioner Sibi Sohail Ahmed Baloch also rushed to the scene and issued orders for immediate aid to injured people.
