HYDERABAD: Society for Environmental Actions, Re-Construction and Humanitarian response (SEARCH) Pakistan and other civil society organizations took out a rally in Hyderabad Press Club (HPC) to mark the International Women Day.
The rally comprising members of civil society organization, including women and children, marched from old camp to HPC and passed through various roads. The demonstrators, carrying placards and banners , chanted slogans against injustice with women and demanded provision of all due rights to them in every sector of life.
Speaking on the occasion, SEARCH Executive Director Waheed Jamali said that Sindh is one of unfortunate parts of the world, where not a single right of basic life has yet been provided to the women. Many women and girls are still deprived of education due to feudal minds and bad-thoughts.
“SEARC is striving hard to ensure provision of land rights to women at all costs.
President Sindh Hari Porhiyiat Council Punhal Sario said that history is witness that no one was hungry till land was witnessed as the asset of a tribe and not the personal property of any individual. He stressed the need for provision of rights to women.
“We have equal opinion about whole world women. Unless women do not come on roads for their rights, their efforts will not bring desired results,” said HRCP leader Dr Ashothama.
