New commodity rates fixed in Kharan city

KHARAN: Assistant Commissioner, Kharan, Fareeda Tareen, said on Wednesday that no negligence would be shown in providing relief to the people and strict action would be taken against hoarders and profiteers in accordance with the law in vogue.

These views were expressed by her while presiding over a meeting of District Price Control Committee here at her office. She directed members of DPCC to ensure the implementation of prices of daily commodities fixed by the district administration.

Tareen urged shopkeepers to take care of sanitation in their respective shops and business centres besides avoiding keeping items outside of their shops. She said that list of prices be displayed at a visible place so that it could easily be seen by the buyers.

The meeting fixed new rates of daily commodities after deliberating upon the old price list. The meeting was attended by President, Bazar Punchayat, Sheikh Muneer, Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital, Kharan, Dr. Mehboob Baloch, Chief Officer, Municipal Committee, Kharan, Taoos Khan Kubdani, Senior Veterinary Officer, Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Dr. Abdul Nabi, Vice President, Bazar Punchayat, Haji Abdul Ghaffar Maskanzai, representatives of Tandoor Association, Beef and Mutton Association, Vegetable and Fruit dealers and other concerned authorities.
