Retired employees again demand group insurance payment

LARKANA: The members of Government Retired Employees Welfare Association again held a meeting at Nizamani Labour Hall here on Sunday for acceptance of four genuine demands.

The meeting was chaired by their president Abdul Latif Rajpar, Shamsunissa Solangi, Bilawal Panhwar and others. They said that after giving blood till 60 years to various government departments they retired from service but they have been constantly denied deducted group insurance and benevolent fund amounts from their monthly salaries which is cruel.

They said Sindh government’s lukewarm attitude has extremely worried them as retired employees of other three provinces are already drawing the same in compliance with the order of the apex court but they have so far been not disbursed their legal payment.

They urged PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister to look into the issue personally and issue payment directives along with an increase of 10% in pension announced by the prime minister on the floor of the National Assembly, issuance of health cards and earn their blessings.
