Unannounced electricity load shedding hits Naundero

NAUNDERO: Unannounced electricity load shedding has risen from eight to 10 hours on daily basis in Naundero and its outskirts this month.

The grid station in charge has increased the power load shedding without any directions from higher authorities. The government had announced that there would be two-hour load shedding after every four hours in the town but it has been raised to an unprecedented level, people of the area.

The 10-hour power outage is being carried out in the pretext of tripping, supply line fault and other unjustified reasons, which has created unrest among the people. It also creates hatred against the federal government and power distribution companies whose bosses have never visited this area to know the facts.

The electricity is put off from 4.00 am to 6.00 am, 10.00 am to 12.00 am, 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm and 10.00 pm to 12.00 am daily due to which worst affected are the Journalists community who cannot discharge their professional duties for the benefit of the people.

Since last one week power is put off daily 15 minutes before the schedule which has multiplied the problems. Housewives cannot wash their clothes as they are already worried about the load shedding and low gas pressure during cooking time, specially in the morning when they have to prepare their children for schools.

Several telephonic complaints have been lodged with higher officers but nothing has yet been done. The people have demanded action against irresponsible officials causing unjustified load shedding.
