Five prisoners released from Malir Jail

KARACHI: Five prisoners were freed from the Malir Jail after their outstanding fines were paid. Under the new judicial policy of the Supreme Court of Pakistan SCP, the District and Sessions Judge Malir Muhammad Yameen, ADJ West Irfan Mio, Judicial Magistrates Nadir Khan Burdi, Muhammad Ali Memon , Abdul Shakoor Kalharo, Hassan Ali Kalwer, PS to DJ Malir Zubair Bin Mehmood & General Secretary Saiban International Welfare Organization Haider Ali Haider visited District Jail Malir.

Superintendent Mirza Shuja Haider Baig, Deputy Superintendent Syed Shakir Hussain Shah, Assistant Superintendents Arshad Shah, Asif Sarfaraz, and other jail officials were present on the occasion.

Justice Muhammad Yameen went round various barracks, met the prisoners and acquired about the details of ongoing cases in various courts.

He met the prisoners in barracks and listened to their problems and assured them of speedy justice.

On the occasion, a large number of prisoners submitted applications for an early hearing of their cases while many submitted applications for review of the court decisions.

During this visit, 05 prisoners informed the judges that they had completed their sentence but are in jail because of inability to pay the fined amount.

The Chairman Saiban, Haq Nawaz Akhtar paid the amount of their fines, travelling expenses and got them 05 prisoners released.
