ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, President Pakistan Squash Federation, awarded cash prizes to Pakistani squash players for winning the 5th Kish Persian Gulf Cup Squash Tournament, held in the Islamic Republic of Iran between last week with a prize purse of US$ 10,000/-.

The tournament final was played between both Pakistani players, Aamir Atlas Khan and Nasir Iqbal.

Earlier in the Semi Finals, Aamir Atlas defeated World No 57 Andrew Wagih from Egypt by 11/7, 11/2 and 11/7 in 32 Minutes. Whereas, Nasir Iqbal beat World No 37 Mohd Ali Anwar Reda (also from Egypt) by 11/9, 6/11, 11/5, 9/11 and 11/5. The match lasted for 108 Minutes.

The President, Pakistan Squash Federation, highly appreciated the performance of both the players in the said tournament and expected that with their hard work, they would further excel in the game and bring laurels for the country in the days to come.
