Islamabad: Pehin Dato Penglima Colonel Retd Haji Abdul Jalil Bin Haji Ahmad, High Commissioner for Brunei Darussalam, paid a farewell call on the Foreign Minister on Wednesday.
The Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts of the High Commissioner in promoting cooperation between the two countries.
High Commissioner Jalil thanked Foreign Minister Khar for the support and warm hospitality extended to him during his stay in Pakistan.
He said the during his eight years stay in Islamabad, he had always worked for the strengthening of relations between Pakistan and Brunei Darussalam.
The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the generous assistance extended by Brunei Darussalam for the victims of the 2005 earthquake, as well as the floods victims in 2010.
She also thanked the Government of Brunei for the construction of the Foreign Service Academy hostel, which will remain a living symbol of cooperation between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister also congratulated His Majesty King of Brunei Darussalam for assuming the Chairmanship of ASEAN for 2013.
