Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that we need to rise above personal interests and think collectively for solving the problems of the people of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while speaking to notables of Tarnol who met him at the Prime Minister’s House on Monday.
The Prime Minister said that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party PPP government is completing its tenure after having braved huge challenges.
He said that despite the fact that the economic and security situation in 2008 was grave, the PPP-led coalition government was able to negotiate the challenges faced by the country pursuing its policy of reconciliation as envisioned by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
The Prime Minister said that the greatest service is, to help people in the redressal of their problems. He urged the political workers to reach out to people, listen to their problems and solve them.
“If you feel for the people, than you can solve all the problems,” observed the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister announced that a University will be established in Tarnol and also directed the Chief Commissioner Islamabad to make a plan for provision of safe drinking water for the people of Tarnol.
The Prime Minister also assured redressal of grievances of affectees whose land had been acquired by Islamabad Capital Territory ICT.
