Inspector General of Police Sindh orders beefing up security across Sindh
Karachi, July 20, 2018 (PPI-OT): In the wake of Chaman bomb blast, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Amjad Javed Saleemi on Friday ordered police to take effective security arrangements across Sindh province to avoid any untoward incident. A police statement here said that the IGP directed for taking extraordinary security steps at all important places in the metropolis, such as sensitive installations, government and semi-government buildings, railways stations, airports, industrial and commercial centers, and all worship places of minorities’ community.
The police chief directives to all police stations to initiate snap checking, picketing and ensure sharing of intelligence based information in their respective areas so that the better security could be ensured. He further said before general elections all sensitive polling stations will also be properly swiped by bomb disposal technical squad as well as police contingent would also brief about security measures.
