NAB files 600 corruption references in last 22 months: Chairman
Chairman National Accountability Bureau Javed Iqbal says an effective anti-corruption strategy has been devised to eradicate the menace from society.
He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Friday to review performance of operation, prosecution, training, research, awareness and prevention divisions of the bureau.
The Chairman said NAB has filed six hundred corruption references in various accountability courts during the last twenty two months.
He said seventy one billion rupees have been recovered and deposited in the national exchequer.
He said a new concept of Combine Investigation Team has been introduced to ensure that no individual can influence the official proceedings of NAB.
