QUETTA: Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that law and order situation of the province has improved to a great extent since the incumbent government came into power and hoped the situation would further improve with the passage time.
He said that government was focusing to resolve the issues of people on priority basis and striving hard to ensure basic facilities to the masses.
Governor Balochistan expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Mazai Ada and Masaizai tribe, here, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the delegation of Mazai Ada apprised the governor about the issues of the area and said that a Girls Middle and Primary School Mazai was functional for the past six years and appointment of teachers had also been made who were regularly receiving salaries, despite that they were not regular on their duties due to which the school is shut for the past two years.
The delegation members asked Governor Balochistan for taking steps to reopen the school and strict the teachers to join their duties so that the children could get uninterrupted education.
They informed the governor that Govt. Middle School Killi Mazai was upgraded to High school in 2002 and classes of high school were also started but still the building of High school had not been constructed. They demanded for early construction of High school building.
The delegation told the governor that business of narcotics and arms is in full swing in Jungle Pir Alizai camp which is adjacent to Killi Masaizai and it is causing negative impacts on the youth in the area.
Masaizai tribe told the governor that Harabi Masaizai Dam which was constructed in 12 years period had been badly damaged in recent rains owing to utilization of poor construction material and embezzlement of contractors. They said that the channel of the dam had also been completely destroyed, thus this project may be examined and action be taken against responsible.
